About me

I am a freelance academic, curator and coach for early career researchers.

As a researcher, I have wide-reaching interests from art and graphic design, to museums, their collections and the stories they tell.

This website and blog provides information about my services, as well as links to my publications and CV.

I have a background in Asian art history and museum studies, and received my PhD from the University of Leicester in 2010. I have worked in museums as a curator and researcher, and in academia as a lecturer, tutor, researcher and programme manager.

In addition to my freelance activities,  I am also a Research Associate in the School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester, University Teacher in the School of the Arts, English and Drama, Loughborough University, a Senior Sessional Tutor in the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies at the University of Warwick,  and an affiliate of King’s College London. But most days, you can find me tapping away on a laptop and supping a matcha latte in one of Leicester’s fabulous independent coffee shops!
