Lots of projects!

Quick update on my current activities with Tricolor:

  1. Interpretation and community collecting for the Brighton Dome redevelopment. Our first collecting session will take place on 11th Sept as part of the Dome’s Heritage Open Day. It would be great to hear from anyone with memories of or stories about the Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre! We’re also hoping to create a born-digital collection of ephemera, photographs and other ‘stuff’ associated with the complex.
  2. Audience consultation in seven coastal/seaside towns in Tendring (hence the pic of Clacton Pier!). The consultation feeds into a heritage project focused on seaside and resort entertainment.
  3. Activity planning at Willesden Jewish Cemetery. I’m currently learning a lot about Jewish burial customs and Anglo-Jewish history. The United Synagogue is holding open days on 4th and 11th September, and the project has recently launched a Friends group on Facebook. They’re actively looking for volunteers, so if you’re interested, do get in touch!

Busy, but happy. Leaving academia was the best decision I’ve ever made.
