Now, where did I put my editing hat?

Last Saturday I went down to London to meet the lovely Majella Munro over a cuppa at the British Library. I came away as the new China Editor for Modern Art Asia!

Published (usually) four times a year, Modern Art Asia is a peer-reviewed online journal which gives postgraduate students and early career researchers the opportunity to publish interdisciplinary and innovative papers on Asian visual culture from the eighteenth century up to the present day.

The journal receives submissions from researchers from all around the world. Interested, or know somebody who might be? Take a look at the latest call for papers here. The deadline for submissions is January 6th, 2012 – get typing!

Majella tells me that she’s particularly keen to receive submissions from scholars working on contemporary art from Pakistan.

I’m really excited about taking on the role, and looking forward to exercising my editing muscles in the New Year.
